The Capybara is a semi- aquatic species and spends significant time on the land around water and within freshwater bodies. They are good swimmers and spend time living in social groups. The capybara is native to South American in the following countries: Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Columbia, south into the Argentinian pampas, and west to the Andes.
You can meet one of our five Capybara’s with our Wildlife Keeper and learn interesting facts about this amazing animal, ask lots of questions and takes heaps of special pictures.
